bwin Speaks Out About Match Fixing

www.bwin.com, the online betting portal, has spoken out about the recent match fixing scandal which has rocked the footballing world.
Speaking on behalf of the betting giant Norbert Teufelberger, Co-CEO of bwin, explained:
“The lack in regulation and insistence on preserving the anachronistic monopolies do not reflect an up-to-date approach in fraud control but actually accomplish the exact opposite: the emergence of an uncontrollable black market,”
It was back in 2005 that bwin, along with other key betting sites, founded an organisation which aimed to detect any fraudulent activity taking place. The system allows for swift and close examination of unusual betting patterns which may be taking place.
